With the Brisbane property market entering a correction period, the high-profile developer behind a $486m tower in Newstead says he remains confident in the city’s long-term fundamentals.
Tom Dooley Developments has started construction on Solais Residences, a 29-level tower at 176 Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead. The $486 million project will deliver 164 luxury residences overlooking heritage-listed Newstead House and Newstead Park, priced from $1.698 million.
Solais joins a TDD portfolio that includes Gasworks Residences in Newstead and Argyle in New Farm.
Founder Tom Dooley says Brisbane’s outlook remains strong, supported by population growth, major infrastructure investment, expanding employment and constrained housing supply. He also points to the investment and transformation underway ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a lasting boost to the city’s appeal.
“After more than 26 years developing and building across Newstead, New Farm and Kangaroo Point, we remain confident in Brisbane’s long-term fundamentals,” he said.
